Design Notes

"The name 'Comp' stands for compact, but is also a nod to 'competition'. It took me about 30 different designs to perfect the feel of the shifters, experimenting with magnet size, position, pivot position, and so on. These needed to be simple to build and needed to be capable of milling out of aluminium, if that's what the customer desired."
